About Us

Sanchayan was established in January 2021, as a non profit organization, registered in Washington state(USA). Sanchayan’s mission is to contribute to the well-being (social, emotional, psychological, digital) of children and their families through community and culturally informed practices.

We are a small team of researchers dedicated to creating culturally informed programs, incorporating the practices of diverse communities and serving as a conduit where children and their families are actively engaged in their learning, and healing process. We are focused on working with children from vulnerable life circumstances, particularly, the refugee population. We strive to nurture Sanchayan as a platform for children and their families to find meaningful ways of expression - dance, movement, art, music, poetry, storytelling, drama, and play.
